Anti-SPAM Domain Admin Settings

Admin Interface

  • Login Here: asportal.boltonsmith.com
    • If you don't know your password, you can press "Forgot Password" at the login screen
    • When you login, you'll be showing your dashboard for your domain. This will show you metrics of your domain, including total emails processed, SPAM vs Clean, etc.


  • If you want to add an Outbound Disclaimer go to: Settings -> Outbound Disclaimers -> Enable
    • This will allow you to put a signature on every outbound message processed. Example: "No virus or spam detected"
    • You can exempt email addresses (Sender Email Addresses/Recipient Email Addresses/Domains).
    • Press Save


  • To manage Filter Rules you can go to: Filter Rules -> Domain Blacklist OR -> Domain Whitelist
    • Here you can White/Black list domains or email addresses as you see fit. Note: This is domain wide. Users can do this on a per-mailbox level if they login using their email address.


  • To manage the Quarantine go to the Quarantine Tab.
    • You can see and search all messages that have been Quarantined for this domain.
    • Here you can Release, Whitelist, or Delete Quarantined mail.


  • To manage Reports go to the Reporting Tab.
    • Here you can see all messages that have flowed through the system for your domain.
    • Clicking a message will bring up more details about it. Note: View Message and View Source are only available for messages still in the system (Such as SPAM in the Quarantine. Messages that have been processes will not have this feature.
    • Under Schedule Reports you can setup the system to email you reports.


Inbound Filtering - MX Record

  • Once your domain is setup with our system, you can point your MX records to the following:
Mail Priority: 10
Mail Server (FQDN): asmx01.boltonsmith.com.


Outbound Filtering - Mail Relay

  • Your IP address(es) need to be registered with our system to allow you to send email through us.
    • If you need to register or change your IPs with our system, please contact Technical Support.
  • Once your IP address(es) is registered with our system you can setup your mail server to relay all outbound email to: asout01.boltonsmith.com on port 25


Sender Framework Policy

  • Setting up SPF DNS entries will minimize non-deliveries through outbound.
    • Add the following TXT Records to your Authoritative DNS Server(s):
      • [your domain]. IN TXT "v=spf1 include:spf.[your domain] -all"
      • spf.[your domain]. IN TXT "v=spf1 ip4:69.90.54.0/28 ip4:[your IP allocations] ~all"
        • [your domain] is the domain you use for outgoing mail Note: The Period "." at the end of the domain. Example: test.com.
        • [your IP allocations] are the IP addresses of your own mail servers, in CIDR format. Example: 1.2.3.4/24


  • For example, if your domain is electric-automotive.com, add the following two TXT records:
electric-automotive.com. IN TXT "v=spf1 include:spf.electricautomotive.com -all"
spf.electric-automotive.com. IN TXT "v=spf1 ip4:69.90.54.0/28 ip4:[your IP allocations] ~all"
