How To Transfer a Call

Warm Transfer

  • A 'warm' transfer allows you to speak with the recipient of the transfer before connecting the staff member to the caller.
    • Press Xfer  -> Dial the destination extension and brief the staff member on the call -> Press Xfer  to connect the caller.

Cold Transfer

  • A 'cold' transfer simply transfers the call to the destination extension.
    • Press Xfer  -> Dial extension -> Press Xfer  immediately.

Voicemail Transfer

  • A 'Voicemail' transfer connects the caller to the destination voice mailbox.
    • Press Xfer  -> Star (*) and the extension number -> Press Xfer  immediately.
