911

911 is enabled on your line. You phone number is linked to an address with our E911 service to be able to make calling 911 easier by passing your address to the operators.

If you dial 911 by mistake

In the event that you call 911 by accident, do not hang up. Stay on the line and inform the operator you dialled 911 by mistake.

If you hang up, they will contact us for an address and send local police if we cannot get a hold of you.

Dialling 911 by mistake is very common with systems that require a 9 prefix to dial out. If you have to dial 9 to get an outside line, know that you do not have to dial the 1 for long distance.

Removing the 1 from your long distance calls will help prevent dialling 911 by mistake.

Outside of North America

If you are outside of North America and want to know if your system is setup for emergency calling, such as 999 in the UK, it likely is. To be sure please contact our support team and we'll be happy to confirm this for you.
