How To Add an Extension
Warning
- Adding an Extension may result in additional fees depending on your license.
- Make sure to use a complex password.
- Make sure to use the permit field to restrict access to the extension (see below).
- If an extension is exploited you are responsible for any calls made. If you are unsure about the extension security please open a ticket.
- Login to your UCS.
- Click Extensions.
- Select Generic SIP Device from the drop-down menu then click Submit.
- User Extension: Enter a unique extension number (increase in increments of 5).
- Display Name: Full Name of The User (this information will be added to the company directory).
- Outbound CID: Caller-ID Name <1234567890>
- Secret: Password for the Extension **Always use a complex password to prevent an attack**
- Status: Enable/Disable (determines whether this extension will have a dedicated voicemail).
- Voicemail Password: Password for Voicemail
- Email Address: Email Address for Voicemail Delivery
- Email Attachment: Yes
- Click Submit.
- Click into the new extension.

- Remote Access: 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
- Office Network: 10.0.0.0/255.0.0.0
